
Repairs to the R33 national road between Hîncești and Leușeni, part of a €38.7 million project financed by the EBRD, are 33% complete
This was announced during a visit by Prime Minister Dorin Recean to the sites where this large-scale infrastructure project is being implemented in the Hîncești district. According to the government press service, the R33 Hincesti-Leuseni road is 37.2 km long and crosses eight settlements: Hincesti, Anini, Rusca, Lapusna, Pervomaiscoe, Strimbeni, Onesti, and Sofia. It is part of the national road network and provides transport links for approximately 21 thousand residents. The project, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is worth €38.7 million. The works include the repair and widening of the existing road surface, the construction of a new road structure in some sections, the restoration and construction of three bridges, the installation of automatic traffic lights and lighting systems, and the construction of bus stops.
