
Moldova has announced a tender for the overhaul of the 7.379 km long section of the R26 Bender-Causeni-Cimislia road, with an estimated cost of 130.48 million lei
The State Roads Administration reported that the matter concerns the overhaul of the first section of this road: km 23,821 - km 31,200. The main goal of the project is to bring the technical-economic indicators up to the level of the modern and prospective requirements, which will make it possible to reduce the expenses for road transportation by improving the access to the villages of Zaim, Marianca de Sus, Opaci, Salcuta, Taraclia and others, as well as to the towns of Causeni and Cimislia. The specific goal of the project is to construct the road system, rainwater drainage system (gutters, bridges) and other works necessary to ensure safe and rhythmic traffic, thus increasing safety and mobility in the region. The length of the section to be repaired is 7.379 kilometers, and the period of work execution is 18 months from the date of contract conclusion. The estimated cost of the works is about 130 million 484 thousand lei, excluding VAT. The funds are allocated from the Road Fund. The deadline for submitting bids is September 10. The State Roads Administration reminded that the overhaul project of the national road R26 Bender-Causeni-Cimislia, section km 23,821 - km 46,308 is divided into 3 sectors. Sectors 2 and 3 of this project are in the process of implementation, the progress amounted to 34% for sector 3 and 24% for sector 2.
