Another flight to Athens will be launched from Chisinau airport, starting September 12
Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced this during a government meeting on Wednesday, without specifying whether the news was about the launch of a flight to Athens by a new airline or an increase in the number of flights by the Greek airline Aegean Airlines. “From September 12, we will have another flight to Athens, both for Moldovan citizens who want to fly there and for the Diaspora. We will continue to open more and more flights from Chisinau International Airport. We see increased interest and understanding, as well as friendly attitudes from EU member states. We will continue these efforts,” Prime Minister said. Earlier it was reported that the Moldovan authorities and the Greek airline Aegean Airlines are discussing increasing the number of regular flights Chisinau-Athens. This was discussed during a meeting held in Athens by Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean and the President of Aegean Airlines Eftixios Vassilakis. As Moldovan Prime Minister wrote on his social network page, he highly appreciated the resumption of regular flights on the Chisinau-Athens route since November last year and discussed the possibility of expanding the number of flights to and from Greece. Dorin Recean noted that our citizens in Greece, as well as tourists and businessmen from Moldova and from all over the region, have been waiting for the Chisinau-Athens flight for a long time. // 10.07.2024 – InfoMarket.
