FlyOne airline has introduced new travel rules for passengers on Yerevan-Chisinau flights and a cash transportation limit of $3 thousand.
As noted in the FlyOne message, in particular, in the context of recent events that have affected flight safety, as well as the comfort of passengers on the Yerevan-Chisinau route, FlyOne is establishing new travel rules valid for all flights to Chisinau via Yerevan. These measures are designed to support the efforts of government agencies in the fight against illegal migration, terrorism and other illegal activities that threaten the constitutional order. In particular, it was agreed that the list of passengers on Yerevan-Chisinau flights will be transferred to the competent authorities of Moldova before departure. Authorities will conduct additional checks prior to takeoff and landing to identify and prevent any potential safety hazards. Only passengers who have received confirmation of admission to the flight will be able to continue the flight. Passengers who are rejected or found non grata will not be able to travel and will not receive a refund for their purchased ticket. In Yerevan, all passengers will be subject to additional security controls when crossing the state border and/or boarding the plane. On board of the FlyOne aircraft on Yerevan-Chisinau route there will be a cash carrying limit of $3,000 or the equivalent of this amount in any currency. Competent persons will check the available funds. Passengers with more than $3,000 in cash who cannot substantiate the origin of the money will not be able to continue their journey. The origin of funds must be confirmed by official documents issued by government agencies, the employer, purchase and sale agreements, etc. More detailed information about accepted supporting documents is available on the official websites of government agencies. All passengers will fill out a form in which they declare the amount of money they have when crossing the border. Passengers will also be required to arrive to the airport at least 4 hours before departure to complete all security formalities. As noted in the FlyOne message, these measures are necessary to prevent the use of national territory for extremist, terrorist or subversive activities that could destabilize the constitutional order and security of the state. FlyOne said it is committed to respecting the rights of all people and ensuring safe flights. The company asks passengers to comply with the newly introduced rules and cooperate with the authorities to facilitate the necessary checks. “By implementing these measures, we want to ensure an enjoyable and safe flight experience,” the airline said. // 04.07.2024 - InfoMarket.
