Passenger traffic at Chisinau Airport in the first half of 2024 amounted to 1 million 646.8 thousand passengers, exceeding by 39.1% the figures for the same period in 2023.
As noted in the message from the capital's airport administration, the passenger transportation forecast for January-June this year was exceeded by 12.8%. The total increase in passengers in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period of the previous year, amounted to 462,534 people. Passenger traffic in June 2024 amounted to 444,158 passengers, which is 69.5% (182,130 passengers) more compared to June 2023. Forecasts for total passenger traffic for June 2024 were exceeded by 32.6%. The largest increase in passenger traffic in June 2024 was recorded on the following routes: Chisinau-Antalya – 39,422 passengers; Chisinau-London – 20,589 passengers; Chisinau-Istanbul – 10,766 passengers; Chisinau-Tel Aviv – 10,308 passengers; Chisinau-Milan - 7692 passengers; Chisinau-Heraklion - 7207 passengers; Chisinau-Rome - 6987 passengers; Chisinau-Frankfurt am Main - 5944 passengers; Chisinau-Sharm el-Sheikh - 5518 passengers; Chisinau-Venice - 5459 passengers; Chisinau-Vienna - 4815 passengers; Chisinau-Tbilisi - 3908 passengers; Chisinau-Bologna - 3896 passengers; Chisinau-Paris - 3249 passengers. At the same time, in new directions in June this year were transported 22,369 passengers (5.04% of the total passenger traffic): Chisinau-Budapest - 3861 passengers; Chisinau-Istanbul (SAW) – 3520 passengers; Chisinau-Athens – 2744 passengers; Chisinau-Enfidha – 2649 passengers; Chisinau-Riga – 2467 passengers; Chisinau-Munich – 2053 passengers; Chisinau-Stuttgart – 1569 passengers; Chisinau-Cologne – 1474 passengers; Chisinau-Prague – 1073 passengers; Chisinau-Dubai – 959 passengers.
