The repair of the national highway Hincesti-Leova-Cahul-Giurgiulesti is only 17% completed.

According to the press service of the State Road Administration, a meeting was held at the institution with representatives of the Turkish company OZCA Inșaat, a contractor for the rehabilitation of the mentioned national road. This project provides for the reconstruction of the road with a length of 83 km and includes the reconstruction of the existing road system, repair of 9 bridges, 57 small bridges, improvement of public transport stops. For the implementation of the project, the Moldovan government received a loan from the EBRD in the amount of 56 million euros. Repair work is divided into two stages, and at the current stage they are only 17% completed. During the meeting, acting Director General of the State Road Administration Sergiu Bejan expressed concern about the slow progress of the work and announced the readiness of the institution to provide the contractor with the necessary support in eliminating certain difficulties so that the project was completed on time. Representatives of OZCA Inșaat, in turn, noted that they would make every effort to minimize delays and restore the deadlines for the work. As a result of the meeting, mechanisms were identified to eliminate some of the delays.
