
The state company Energocom increased its authorized capital by 1 billion 393 million 784 thousand lei.
As noted in the message of the National Commission for the Financial Market (NCFM), in particular, the Administrative Council of the NCFM registered in the Register of Issuers of Securities the results of an additional issue of JSC Energocom for 1 billion 393 million 784 thousand lei, in the amount of 1393784 ordinary registered shares, with a nominal value of 1000 lei per share. The additional issue was made at the expense of cash. As InfoMarket agency reported earlier, during the last year’s gas crisis and Gazprom's threat to stop gas supplies to Moldova due to non-payment for gas, the government of Moldova approved the assignment of part of Termoelectrica’s debt to Moldovagaz to Energocom and the transfer of this money to Moldovagaz in debt repayment account. According to the government decree, the Ministry of Finance, at the request of the Public Property Agency, from the funds provided for in the state budget for 2021, had to transfer 1 billion 393 million 783.5 thousand lei to Energocom to increase the authorized capital of the company, and the Public Property Agency was entrusted through Energocom's management bodies to ensure an additional private issue of shares for 1 billion 393 million 784 thousand lei and register it in the prescribed manner, as well as to initiate negotiations and conclude an agreement between the Moldovagaz and Energocom on the assignment of Termoelectrica’s 1 billion 330 million 621.6 thousand lei debt to Moldovagaz, conclude a major deal for the assignment of the corresponding receivables belonging to Moldovagaz to Energocom, with the payment of this amount by Energocom to Moldovagaz in Moldovan lei (MDL). Energocom is 100% owned by the state. Energocom is the central electricity supplier. The company supplies electricity at unregulated tariffs for the needs of the domestic market. Since July 1, 2014, Energocom has been operating on the natural gas market of Moldova as a supplier of natural gas, has the right to supply natural gas at unregulated prices, import gas for the needs of the internal gas market of Moldova, conclude direct contracts for the supply of natural gas from imported sources as a supplier, with gas supply companies, transmission operators, etc. Earlier, the state company Energocom increased its authorized capital by 306 million 216 thousand lei - from 1 million lei to 307 million 216 thousand lei through an additional private issue of shares at the expense of funds transferred by the Ministry of Finance. In particular, within the framework of the previous closed additional issue, 306216 shares were issued with a par value of 1 thousand lei per share - for a total amount of 306 million 216 thousand lei, and as a result, the authorized capital of Energocom was increased from 1 million lei to 307 million 216 thousand lei. Energocom's net profit in 2020, compared to 2019, decreased by 16.4% and amounted to 24.47 million lei against 29.28 million lei a year earlier.
