Young people who are employed for the first time in sectors of strategic importance will receive a tax-free allowance of 3,000 lei

This is provided for by the national program of monthly allowances for young people who are employed for the first time in sectors of strategic importance, launched on August 14. It provides for the provision of young people under 35 with a tax-free monthly allowance of 3,000 lei. The allowance will be provided for 12 months to young people with professional qualifications who have started working full-time for the first time in one of the 7 priority sectors for the economic transformation of Moldova: electronics, mechanical engineering, textile industry, agri-food industry, production of construction materials, pharmaceuticals and creative industry. The goal of the program is to create real opportunities for young people, helping them build a career and contribute to the development of the country's economy. During the launch of the program, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the program is designed to encourage young people to stay at home and work. According to him, 380 companies from 7 strategic regions have employed over 700 young people, who will benefit from this program starting in September. It is implemented digitally through the government application EVO, and the entire process - from applying for financial assistance and checking eligibility to the monthly transfer of the benefit directly to the recipient's bank account - is done digitally. Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor emphasized that involving young people in the creation of value-added products is an investment in the future of the country. "Thanks to the state's support and real employment opportunities, we guarantee that young people will become the engine of Moldova's economic transformation," she emphasized. The Electronic Governance Agency, which participated in the development of the program, explained that young people aged 18 to 35 who have a secondary or higher education diploma, domestic or foreign, equivalent to CTICE, can participate in the program. Applicants must have been employed by June 3, 2025, with an individual employment contract and a minimum salary of 5,500 lei. The employer must be registered and submit all monthly reports. To participate in the program, a young person must have an electronic signature to be authorized in the EVO application. According to preliminary estimates, by the end of 2025, more than 4 thousand young people will receive assistance under this program. The program costs will amount to more than 34 million lei, the money is allocated under the Budget+ program. // 14.08.2025 – InfoMarket.
