The Ministry of Finance of Moldova will hold a series of events on the occasion of the international financial education week Global Money Week 2025 (GMW 2025)
As reported by the Ministry of Finance, from March 17 to 21, the agency will organize events aimed at popularizing the role and importance of basic financial knowledge. GMW will start with the School of Public Finance for journalists: daily thematic classes on financial education will be held for them, during which the most interesting topics related to public finance will be discussed. On Thursday, March 21, at 13:00, the Minister of Finance Victoria Belous will hold a talk on public finance with ULIM students, and a visit to the Ministry of Finance and a meeting with the Secretary of State Maia Savva will be organized for students of the National College of Commerce under ASEM. The Ministry will also launch an information campaign in the format of "Did you know?" to inform the general public about public finance management and the significant role of the Ministry in this matter. Through a series of short and clear posts on social media, the campaign will highlight topics related to this area, thereby promoting a deeper understanding of the impact of financial decisions on everyday life. A children's financial discussion club and a financial session dedicated to women in the ministry are also planned. Global Financial Literacy Week (GMW) is an initiative of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and covers 176 countries. The Ministry of Finance joined this initiative for the first time in 2021, when it also launched a national financial education campaign “The State Budget is Your Budget”. // 17.03.2025 — InfoMarket.
