Visitors to the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History can have an innovative experience thanks to the “Find a Dinotherium” app
The developed application allows turning an ordinary visit to the museum into a unique, informative and interactive experience: thanks to augmented reality (AR) technologies, one of the most popular exhibits of the museum - dinotherium - comes to life. The museum exhibit includes a dinotherium skeleton, one of the largest in Europe, about 7-9 million years old. Available through an app, the educational and fun game will guide museum visitors through distant historical periods with the baby dinotherium. As they walk through the halls of the museum, they will learn about the Jurassic period and collect clues that will help the baby dinotherium find its mom. The application was developed in partnership with the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History as part of the Museums of the Future program. It is implemented by the COR Creative Industries Association within the “Creative Moldova” program under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, with the support of USAID, Sweden and the United Kingdom within the Future Technologies Activity (FTA) and the USAID project “Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity”. In addition, in order to provide the visitors with an immersive experience, Moldcell Foundation, within the “Museums of the Future” initiative, provided the museum with 10 tablets, with the help of which they will be able to “animate” the murals “Wedding” and “Moldovan Hora” through the Artivive technology. // 03.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
