On average, an Easter meal will cost 1,245 lei – almost 700 lei cheaper than in 2023. The majority of Moldovans (87%) plan to paint eggs this Easter. On average, family feasts will include about 18 colored eggs. At the same time, about 25% of respondents plan to paint up to 10 eggs, and 3.5% plan to paint more than 50 eggs. The most popular color is red; almost 74% of respondents would paint Easter eggs this color. Most people will have Easter cake, cozonac and homemade cakes on their Easter table.
