The dominant strain of the coronavirus that is spreading in Moldova remains "omicron".
This was shown by the results of the analysis of 16 samples taken from Chisinau, as well as from the Basarabeasca, Ialoveni, Cimislia, Orhei and Straseni districts. The National Agency for Public Health reported that in the samples taken, the omicron strain was confirmed in 8 males and 8 females, so this strain remains dominant in Moldova. The agency recommends that citizens be vaccinated, as this is the only safe and effective way to prevent severe cases and deaths from the coronavirus. Last week, 364 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Moldova, and 3 people died from complications. // 10.01.2023 - InfoMarket.
