In Moldova, January 2 and May 8, 2023 are declared days off with subsequent working off.
The corresponding resolution was adopted by the government at a meeting on Wednesday for the optimal use of weekends and holidays by employees. In particular, January 2 and May 8, 2023, which fall on Mondays between days off and holidays, it was decided to make days off with subsequent working on two Saturdays - January 28 and May 13, respectively. Recall that for enterprises in the real sector of the economy, the postponement of days off is a recommendation. In the budgetary system, this decision will be binding, and ministries and other central administrative bodies on working days must ensure the efficient operation of all subordinate units. Thus, the first working week of 2023 will begin on January 3, and in May, public employees, taking into account holidays and days off, will have mini-vacations from May 6 to 9. // 28.12.2022 — InfoMarket
