Emergency situation has been declared in Chisinau due to the impossibility to remove, transport and store certain waste.

Such a decision was adopted by the Commission for Emergency Situations of Chisinau municipality. The Commission stated that the environmental authorities of the country have blocked the evacuation, storage and transportation of vegetable and construction waste, as well as waste resulting from the demolition of structures occurred after the sanitary cleaning of the city. At the same time, the central competent authorities did not specify or approve a location for the storage of this waste. This situation affects the inhabitants of the municipality and undermines the work of municipal enterprises, which are directly damaged (the damage amount has already exceeded 100 thousand conventional units). As an interim solution to the problem, the Municipal Commission decided that the waste would be taken to the limestone quarry of Edilitate JSC (36 Calea Iesilor Str.). The Municipal Commission asked that the government and the National Emergency Commission to intervene immediately to resolve the situation. // 08.09.2022 - InfoMarket
