Refugees from Ukraine can receive an IDNP number in Moldova in digital format in order to use public services.
This was announced by the government, noting that refugees from Ukraine who will stay on the territory of Moldova for a longer period of time will be able to use public services based on the state identification number (IDNP) assigned when crossing the border of Moldova, which can be downloaded using a digital application, recently developed by the Agency for Electronic Governance. The new digital solution is integrated on the dopomoga.gov.md platform and can be used from March 14th. The State Identification Number (IDNP) is the main indicator for identifying an individual on the territory of Moldova. Information on an individual identification number (IDNP) can be obtained online, on the platform dopomoga.gov.md, in the "Get IDNP" section, by entering the personal data of the identity card of a refugee citizen of Ukraine (foreign passport, internal identity card or birth certificate). This information can be easily downloaded in PDF format and submitted to government agencies for obtaining public services, employment, enrolling minors in kindergarten or school, opening a bank account, registering a company, etc. The State Identification Number (IDNP) is valid upon presentation of the identity document on the basis of which the IDNP number was assigned. Information about IDNP is issued on the basis of data provided by the Public Services Agency, which are registered when crossing the state border of Moldova. If it is impossible to obtain IDNP through the dopomoga.gov.md portal, foreign citizens temporarily staying on the territory of Moldova should contact one of the multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency or the Bureau for Migration and Asylum. At the same time, government agencies that refugees apply to will recognize these statements and will be able to verify their authenticity by scanning a QR code. The decision on the possibility of obtaining online information on the identification number of an individual (IDNP) of refugees from Ukraine was adopted by the Commission for Emergency Situations of Moldova by order No. 7 of March 4, 2022, as an urgent measure that provides more opportunities for the accommodation of persons temporarily Moldova. The dopomoga.gov.md platform was launched on March 1 as a single point of access to information about assistance that Ukrainians can use during their stay in Moldova, and it has been visited by about 100,000 unique users since its launch and to date. // 14.03.2022 — InfoMarket
