
The average nominal wage in Moldova amounted to 9,175.7 lei in the third quarter of 2021, up13.6% compared to the same period in 2020.
The National Bureau of Statistics informed that, in real terms, taking into account the growth of inflation, the average salary increased by 8.3% in relation to the third quarter of 2020 and by 1.5% in relation to the second quarter of 2021. It should be noted that in the third quarter of 2021, the average salary in the public sector amounted to 7 661 lei (+ 8.9% compared to the same period in 2020), and in the real sector of the economy - 9 709.6 lei (+14.9 %). The highest salaries were received by workers in the ICT sector - on average 21 703.6 lei (+ 19.8% compared to the same period in 2020), the financial and insurance industry - 16 684.9 lei (+ 18.3%), as well as enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 14 689.4 lei (+ 6.5%). In these sectors, salaries were 2.4 times higher than the national average, by 99.9% and, accordingly, by 85.2%. The lowest salaries remain in the field of tourist accommodation and catering - 5 706.4 lei (+ 11.9%), in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 6 126 lei (+ 16%), as well as in the field of arts, recreation and entertainment - 6 169.1 lei (+ 9.8%). In the third quarter of 2021, the average salary of employees in the field of administrative services and ancillary activities amounted to 6 989.9 lei (+ 8.4%); in the education system - 7 184.7 lei (+ 9.3%); in the field of real estate transactions - 7 537.1 lei (+ 12.5%); in the field of trade, repair of cars and motorcycles - 8 408.8 lei (+ 14.1%); in the field of transport and storage services - 7,856.6 lei (+ 14.8%); in construction - 8 530.5 lei (+ 5.2%); in the field of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance - 10 348.4 lei (+ 6.7%); in the health care and social protection system - 10 833.9 lei (+ 24.4%); in the field of scientific and technical activities - 11 775.5 lei (+ 15.5%). In the industrial sector, salaries averaged 8 528.5 lei (+ 7.6%), including in the processing industry - 7 815.3 leis (+ 8.4%); at the enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste treatment and treatment and restoration works - 8 048.7 lei (+ 4.7%); in the extractive industry - 8 173.1 lei (+ 9%), and the highest salary was registered at the enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 14 689.4 lei (+ 6.5%). // 30.11.2021 - InfoMarket
