The Ministry of Health is launching a mechanism for remote monitoring of patients with COVID-19, as well as citizens in quarantine.

This mechanism is part of the COVID + Patient Remote Monitoring Mechanism project, which is planned to be implemented by May 2022. Monitoring will be carried out within the framework of Service 112 and with the participation of a group of students and residents of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy named after M. N. Testemitanu. Persons infected with coronavirus and those undergoing treatment at home will be monitored; citizens who have been in contact with an infected patient; persons who are on self-isolation after entering Moldova from abroad. According to the algorithm of the monitoring program, the monitored persons will be called at different intervals (72 hours, 48 hours) to check compliance with the self-isolation regime and their well-being. This activity will initially be supported by 36 monitors who will work in two shifts daily. The remote monitoring system is expected to relieve the health care system, help contain the pandemic, and increase the efficiency of the use of medical resources. In the future, it is planned to launch an application for remote monitoring of COVID-19 patients and those required to comply with the self-isolation regime. // 13.10.2021 — InfoMarket
