Citizens of Moldova are required to carry an identity card, a copy of it or a digital copy when visiting public places during the health emergency.
Such a requirement is contained in the latest decision of the National Public Health Emergency Commission. It only applies to adult citizens. In the decision of the commission, responsibility for ascertaining violations of the epidemiological rules was distributed between various institutions, which every 14 days must report to the National Public Health Emergency Commission on the measures taken and the stated circumstances. The Commission also approved a digital COVID certificate model, which assumes a vaccination certificate, a recently-underwent coronavirus certificate, or a test certificate. From October 15, this certificate will be issued by the Ministry of Health through the information automated system "Register of vaccination against COVID-19" (https://certificate-covid.gov.md), based on data provided by medical institutions. When presenting a COVID certificate, a prerequisite is the presence of an identity document of its owner. If the certificate is issued by another state, it can be presented in Romanian, English, German, French, Italian or Russian (if in other languages, then an authorized translation of the document into Russian or Romanian is required). Persons who plan to enter Moldova and must comply with the self-isolation regime are required to complete and submit an epidemiological card in an online format. The document is filled 72 hours before entering Moldova on the page https://fisa-covid.gov.md (until October 15, citizens without a completed online epidemiological card will sign a written declaration of responsibility for observing the self-isolation regime). Passenger carriers are required to check that their passengers have supporting documents in order to be exempted from the obligation to comply with the self-isolation regime, or they must ensure that an online epidemiological sheet is completed for all their passengers. // 12.10.2021 – InfoMarket
