The Chisinau City Hall proposes the central authorities to start the III stage of vaccination against COVID-19 in the capital.

Mayor General Ion Ceban said this during an operational meeting of municipal services. He drew attention to the fact that currently in Chisinau there are enough vaccine doses to enable all residents of the capital to be vaccinated against coronavirus. Currently, the AstraZeneca vaccine is available at the Municipal Vaccination Center and in polyclinics, and recently the Sputnik V vaccine arrived in Chisinau. Ion Ceban noted that, according to experts, with the current number of vaccines available, we can start the III stage of immunization, but the mayor's office is awaiting a decision by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. In parallel, the vaccination process continues in Territorial Medical Associations and Family Physician Centers, as well as in health centers in the suburbs. Immunization is optional. To date, about 21 thousand people in the municipality have received the first dose of the vaccine. According to experts, this process is slow and the number of vaccinated is small, which indicates that people are still reluctant to get vaccinated against COVID-19. In this connection, the Chisinau mayor's office will propose the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection to start the III stage of vaccination in Chisinau, where the flow of people will be high. // 26.04.2021 - InfoMarket
