According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, over the past day, 2,712 tests were done in laboratories (including 1,117 rapid antigen tests), 12.5% of them were positive. Most of the new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the Transnistrian region (118 people), followed by Chisinau municipality (82 people), Edinet district (16 people), Balti municipality (13 people), Hincesti district (13 people), etc. Among the new infected are 7 health workers and 3 citizens who recently returned from Turkey, Ukraine and Russia. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of people infected in the country has amounted to 246,238 people, almost 95% of them have recovered (+1,093 per day). At the same time, 5,591 patients with COVID died (+20 per day). Currently, 8,319 people are sick with coronavirus, 2,798 of them are being treated in medical institutions of the country.
