Moldova: 14,861 people are sick with coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, over the previous day, 3,176 tests were done to detect coronavirus, of which 693 were positive (about 22%). Among the new infected there are 6 health workers and 1 person who arrived from Ukraine. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of people infected in Moldova has reached 235,087 people. Over the past day, another 1,532 people recovered, and the total number of recovered people reached 215,091 people (91.5% of those infected). 5 136 people died in Moldova from complications caused by COVID-19, including 44 in the last 24 hours. More than 2/3 of the deaths are at the age of 60 and older, while in the age category 80+ every seventh infected person dies. Currently, according to official data, 14,861 people are sick with coronavirus, of which 3,996 are hospitalized.
