
Additional 500 more beds for patients with coronavirus appeared in the republican, municipal and regional hospitals of Moldova.
According to the Ministry of Health, taking into account the alarming increase in the number of new cases of COVID-19 infection that has been registered over the past three weeks, it was decided to use additional beds for the treatment of patients with coronavirus. In particular, in the Chisinau phthisiopulmonary hospital, 150 beds have been allocated for patients with coronavirus, in the republican drug dispensary - 60 beds, in the Ialoveni district hospital - 21 beds, in the clinical hospital of the Ministry of Health - 20 beds, in the state hospital of the State Chancellery - 10 beds, in the Republican clinical hospital - 67 beds, including 7 beds in the intensive care unit. In addition, 50 more beds are being prepared in the republican drug dispensary, and 12 beds - in the Toma Ciorba clinical infectious diseases hospital. At the same time, the Taraclia District Hospital was redesigned to treat patients with coronavirus, and the number of beds for patients with COVID in the Edinet District Hospital and the Balti Clinical Hospital was doubled. The Ministry of Health called on the population and authorities to mobilize efforts and comply with all established measures to help the health care system cope with the situation.
