Moldova has established a National Committee to coordinate activities in the field of immunization against COVID-19.
This decision was adopted yesterday by the National Emergency Public Health Commission. The committee will ensure and coordinate the country's vaccination process in line with the National COVID-19 Immunization Plan. The commission also approved the composition of the National Committee, it includes 20 representatives of various state institutions and organizations, and Aureliu Ciocoi was appointed chairman. The decision of the commission also enshrines the responsibility of the Ministry of Health - the department will be responsible for communication and informing citizens, and the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) will ensure the planning, organization, conduct, assessment and monitoring of the immunization process against COVID-19. The agency will also update statistics on the epidemiological situation and ensure the integration of the COVID-19 immunization program with existing immunization programs and coordination between them. The decision of the commission also stipulates interdepartmental cooperation to ensure the safety of transportation, reception and storage of vaccine batches and their distribution through the territorial divisions of the ANSP. Acceptance of donations from external partners (in the form of medical equipment, devices and consumables) will be provided by MFAEI, and the Reintegration Bureau will ensure interaction and dialogue on the epidemiological situation in the Transnistrian region. The Commission decided that the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, along with the ANSP, will provide monitoring of side effects after immunization and pharmacovigilance. The costs of covering the cost of vaccines and consumables, as well as the implementation of measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection, within the limits of available funds, will be provided by the National Health Insurance Agency. // 10.02.2021 - InfoMarket.
