
Cahul, Vadul-lui-Voda, Hirjauca and Cocieri will receive the status of balneological resorts.
And in the future, this status can be granted to other settlements that have conditions for the treatment and recreation of citizens. This is provided for by the draft law on balneological, climatic, balneo-climatic resorts and balneological and rehabilitation treatment, which the parliament adopted in the second reading. According to the aforementioned law, villages and cities of the country, which, due to their climatic and balneological conditions are important for the health and recreation of the population, will be able to obtain the status of a resort, which will be granted to them by a government decree. They will be proposed for the assignment of such status by local councils after consultation with the citizens of the settlement on the basis of uniform technical standards adopted by the executive branch. At the same time, the text of the adopted law states that this document already acknowledges the conformity of the municipality of Cahul, the city of Vadul-lui-Voda, the commune of Hirjauca and the village of Cocieri of the Dubasari district in order to obtain the status of a balneological resort. A balneological resort is understood as a settlement and / and an area with natural resources, scientifically proven and traditionally recognized as therapeutically effective, special treatment facilities, the organization of which allows the provision of medical balneological care in appropriate conditions. The approved bill is aimed at the economic and social development of settlements in Moldova in order to rationally and sustainably use the available medicinal minerals. The introduction of the bill also involves the development of tourism in villages and cities. According to the author of the bill, Vlad Btrincea, a special management regime will operate in the territories that have received the status of a resort; they will attract new investments, which will contribute to the modernization of territories, the development of health and recreation services. // 04.02.2021 - InfoMarket.
