
AIPA has received 280 applications for advance subsidies (370 million lei) for investment projects aimed at improving living and working standards in rural areas.
As reported by the Agency for Interventions and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), this is preliminary data on the call for proposals held from November 2, 2020 to January 27, 2021. The total volume of investments envisaged by the announced projects is 444.5 million lei. Within the framework of the first support measure “Improvement and Development of Rural Public Economic Infrastructure” (construction / reconstruction / modernization of local public roads and bridges, expansion / restoration / modernization of water supply, water treatment and sewerage systems), 97 applications were received for 173.2 million lei in the form of subsidies. As a reminder, under this measure, the applicant's contribution must be at least 20% of the project budget. Under the second support measure - Rural Renovation and Development, which provides for the improvement and expansion of basic local services for the rural population, including leisure and culture, as well as the related structure (repair / reconstruction / construction of public buildings and sites for organizing markets / fairs / exhibitions; construction of centers for the care of children, the elderly and persons with special needs, etc.), a total of 175 applications for 192.5 million lei were received. The personal contribution of the beneficiary must also be at least 20% of the project budget. Within the framework of the third support measure - “Diversification of the rural economy through non-agricultural activities”, 8 applications for 3.7 million lei were received. This measure provides support for the creation of repair shops, workshops, the purchase of non-agricultural machinery and equipment, including systems for the production and supply of energy using renewable resources. The creation and modernization of cinemas, local TV and radio stations will be encouraged. It is also planned to support construction / reconstruction projects and the use of points of direct sale of only food and non-food products of own / local production; projects for the conservation, development and diversification of handicraft and traditional crafts.
