
In Moldova, in January-September 2023, were issued 2,562 permits for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, which is 4.7% more than for the same period in 2022.
This was reported by the National Bureau of Statistics, noting that out of the total volume issued for 9 months this year 1,695 permits (66.2% of the total) were for residential buildings, and 867 (33.8%) were for non-residential buildings. At the same time, the number of permits for the construction of residential buildings in January-September 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, increased by 3.4%, and for the construction of non-residential buildings - increased by 7.6%. According to NBS, for 9 months in 2023, 1,143 permits were issued for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings in the cities of Moldova (44.6% of the total) and 1,419 permits for construction in rural areas (55.4% of the total). Herewith, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of construction permits issued in cities decreased by 0.7%, and in rural areas increased by 9.6%. In January-September 2023, the majority of permits for the construction of residential buildings were traditionally issued in the municipality of Chisinau - 715 versus 756 units for the same period a year earlier (-5.4%). In the North development region, the number of issued permits for the construction of residential buildings increased over the specified period from 189 to 198 units (+4.8%). In the “Center” development region it increased from 444 to 538 units (+21.2%), and in the “South” development region it increased from 127 to 133 units (+4.7%). Meanwhile, in ATU Gagauzia this figure decreased from 124 to 111 units (-10.5%). According to official statistics, the number of permits issued for the construction of non-residential premises in the municipality of Chisinau for 9 months of 2023, in comparison with the same period in 2022, decreased from 136 to 117 units (-14%), in the North development region - increased from 198 to 213 (+7.6%), in the development region " Center" - increased from 210 to 247 units (+17.6%), in ATU Gagauzia - increased from 116 to 139 units (+19.8%), and in the "South" region - increased from 146 to 151 units (+ 3.4%). // 31.10.2023 — InfoMarket
