Parliament has approved the withdrawal from agricultural land a plot of 5 hectares for the construction of the Balti Regional Hospital.
Particularly, the MPs approved in two readings the corresponding changes to the Appendix to the Law on Approval of the List of Enterprises, Institutions and Organizations, the Agricultural Land Remaining State-Owned. According to the document, in deviation from the provisions of Article 83 of the Land Code and Article 12 of the Law on normative price and procedure of land sale and purchase, the Parliament has permitted taking a 5 ha plot of especially valuable agricultural land with a natural fertility score over 60, located outside the village of Corlateni in Riscani district out of agricultural turnover and has approved the construction of the Balti Regional Hospital on this land plot. It is stipulated that the losses connected with the withdrawal of the respective land plot from the category of agricultural land shall not be compensated. The aforementioned land plot is currently managed by the Selectia Research Institute of Field Crops. The land was selected for the construction of the Balti Regional Hospital as a result of an analysis carried out by the Ministry of Health, representatives of the local public administration, along with international experts hired by the Council of Europe Development Bank. The area of the new regional hospital of the third level will be 38,000 square meters and it will have 440 beds. At the same time, the draft law provides for transferring the right to manage this area from the Public Property Agency to the Ministry of Health, which is a condition of the Council of Europe Development Bank for approving a loan for Moldova to build the hospital. // 02.02.2023 - InfoMarket
