
Moldova will improve the quality system in construction and establish a 5-year warranty period to eliminate all defects
This is provided for by amendments to the Law on Quality in Construction and the Law on Permission to Perform Construction Works, which the Parliament adopted in the second reading. The changes relate to the quality of construction, authorization of construction work and business permits. The purpose of the draft law is to supplement the regulatory framework with provisions on technical committees specializing in the field of construction in order to reflect their activities in the process of developing regulatory documents. At the same time, the draft law establishes that the warranty period after acceptance of construction work will be 5 years. This provision will be directly provided for in the context of the obligations of the contractors of construction works, as well as the property liability of economic agents through the prism of the deadline for eliminating deficiencies. The law will come into force from the day of its publication in the Monitorul Oficial. The government, within 6 months from the date of its entry into force, will bring its regulations into line with the new provisions of the legislation. // 07.07.2022 — InfoMarket
