The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, noting that, at the same time, the total area of residential premises (apartments and individual houses), put into operation in January-June 2021, amounted to 327.1 thousand square meters (sq. m), and, compared to the same period in 2020, this figure also increased by 49.2%. According to official statistics, in the first half of 2021, 3287 apartments with a total area of 220.2 thousand sq. m were commissioned in the country as a whole, which is 50.5% more relative to the indicators of the same period of 2020 in terms of the number of apartments (in the same period a year earlier - 2184), as well as 49.7% more in terms of area (147.1 thousand sq. m). At the same time, in January-June 2021, 878 residential buildings with a total area of 106.9 thousand square meters were commissioned, which is 44.6% higher than the indicators of the same period of the previous year in terms of the number of such housing commissioned (a year earlier - 607 units) and by 48.1% - in terms of area (a year earlier - 72.2 thousand square meters). According to the NBS, in the urban area of Moldova in the first half of 2021, 3654 housing units were commissioned (in the same period a year earlier - 2395 units) with a total area of 265 thousand square meters (a year earlier - 175.5 thousand sq. m), which is 52.6% higher than the indicators of the same period in 2020 in terms of the number of housing and 51% - in terms of area. In rural areas, in January-June 2021, 511 housing units were commissioned, which is 29% more than in the same period a year earlier (396 units), and its total area increased by 41.6% - from 43.8 thousand sq. m in the first half of 2020 up to 62.1 thousand sq. m in the first half of 2021. At the same time, most of the housing was commissioned in January-June 2021 in the Chisinau municipality - 3392 units (up 42.8%, compared to the same period in 2020) with an area of 241.7 thousand sq. m (+ 41.9%). In the Northern region in January-June of this year there were put into operation 190 units of housing (+ 42.9%) with a total area of 23.7 thousand square meters (+ 44.6%), in the Central region - 363 housing units (+ 89.1%) with a total area of 40.2 thousand square meters (+ 85.4%), in the Southern region - 145 housing units (up 2.2 times) with a total area of 13.6 thousand square meters (+ 72.6%), and in ATU Gagauzia - 75 housing units (up 3.1 times) with a total area of 7.9 thousand square meters (up 2.6 times). // 02.09.2021 – InfoMarket
