This follows from the new information provided by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). According to the elements of the structure of construction work performed by organizations in January-December 2020, work on the construction of new objects still prevailed, but, according to the updated data, it amounted to 7 billion 437.4 million lei, thus increasing versus the same period of 2019 by 8.7%; it has not decreased by 3.4%, as previously reported. The share of such construction work in the total volume of work performed was 49.3%, not 47.1%. According to the updated data, the volume of capital repairs in 2020, relative to 2019, increased by 10.2%, not by 5.7%, and amounted to 3 billion 790.2 million lei (25.1% of the total volume of work performed), and not 3 billion 638.2 million lei, as previously reported. At the same time, according to new data, the volume of maintenance and current repairs increased by 20.3%, not by 18.5%, amounting to 3 billion 601.8 million lei (23.9% of the total), instead of the announced previously 3 billion 547.8 million lei. The volume of other works did not decrease by 3.7%, but increased by 15.4%, and amounted not to 218 million lei, but to 261.6 million lei (share - 1.7% of the total). As far as construction objects are concerned, the volume of work performed during the construction of residential buildings in 2020 did not decrease by 6.4%, but increased by 13.1%, amounting to 4 billion 055.4 million lei (previously the figure was 3 billion 356.6 million lei ). According to the updated data, during the construction of non-residential buildings, the volume of work decreased by 6.6%, not by 5.9%, and amounted to 3 billion 781.4 million lei, not to 3 billion 812.4 million lei, as previously reported.
