The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, noting that of the total volume of issued permits, 479 (66.6% of the total) accounted for residential buildings, and 240 (33.4%) - for non-residential buildings. At the same time, the number of permits for the construction of residential buildings in January-March 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, increased by 48.8%, and for the construction of non-residential buildings - increased by 54.8%. According to the NBS, in the first quarter of 2021, 396 permits were issued for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings in cities and 323 permits for construction in rural areas. At the same time, the number of building permits issued in cities for the specified period increased by 54.1%, and in rural areas - increased by 46.8%. In January-March 2021, most permits for the construction of residential buildings were traditionally issued in Chisinau - 212 against 157 units in the same period a year earlier (+55 units). In the Nord Development Region the number of issued permits for the construction of residential buildings decreased from 55 to 47 units (-8 units), in the Centru Development Region - increased from 73 to 136 units (+63 units), in the SUD Development Region - increased from 20 to 46 units (+26), and in ATU Gagauzia - increased from 17 to 38 units (+21 units). According to official statistics, the number of permits issued for the construction of non-residential premises in Chisinau increased in the first quarter of 2021 from 38 to 39 units (+1 units) versus the same period of 2020, in the Nord Development Region - from 37 to 57 units (+20 units), Centru - from 29 to 61 (+32 units), Sud - from 38 to 40 (+2 units), and in ATU Gagauzia - from 13 to 43 units (+30 units). // 05.05.2021 – InfoMarket
