A new phase of the EcoVoucher program has started in Moldova to last until November 9, benefiting about 550 families
As announced by the Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy, the EcoVoucher program aims to provide direct support to Moldovan households in order to reduce energy consumption and modernize household appliances. The EcoVoucher state program remains an important tool for supporting families, offering vouchers worth 6,000 lei for the purchase of energy-efficient household appliances—refrigerators and washing machines that meet energy efficiency standards and the European standard of conformity (CE). Approximately 550 families, including those with two minor children and elderly people over 63 years of age, have benefited from the current phase of the program. The selection was based on compliance criteria and data posted on compensatii.gov.md. The vouchers cover up to 70% of the cost of new appliances, and beneficiaries can purchase appliances from a network of partner stores, taking advantage of free delivery and the collection of old appliances for recycling. The results of the program confirm the positive impact of the measures implemented. Beneficiaries report savings on their monthly bills, increased comfort in their households, and greater interest in energy-efficient equipment. Since the program's launch, more than 37,000 families in Moldova have used vouchers for large household appliances. In 2025 alone, more than 24,700 vouchers were used thanks to funding provided by Norway. The EcoVoucher program was developed by the Moldovan government with the support of the EU. // 27.10.2025 — InfoMarket.
