
Moldova participates in the World Bank regional forum on energy transition
In particular, the official delegation of Moldova is participating in the 1st Energy knowledge Forum for Europe and Central Asia, organized by the World Bank from 17 to 19 June. The delegation of the Republic of Moldova is headed by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Energy Carolina Novac. It also includes the Director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation Alexandru Ursu, the Director of the National Center for Sustainable Energy Ion Munteanu, Acting Director General of Moldelectrica Sergiu Aparatu, and Technical Director of Termoelectrica Alexandru Buruiană. The event brings together decision-makers, international experts and representatives of the energy sector from Europe and Central Asia to share best practices and strengthen cooperation in the field of energy transition and achieving climate goals. The following key topics will be discussed during the forum: from energy and climate goals to concrete actions; sustainable financing mechanisms and market integration of renewable energy sources; increasing investments in energy efficiency of buildings, and seminars on the exchange of technical knowledge, on renewable energy sources, on energy efficiency in buildings will be held.
