
In Moldova, electricity prices for household consumers may increase 2 times: Premier Energy requested from NAER a tariff of 5.13 lei per kWh
In particular, Premier Energy company has applied to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) with a request to revise the electricity tariffs and, in particular, proposes to increase the electricity price for Premier Energy's household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, by 2.2 times - from 2.34 to 5.13 lei per kWh. At the same time, Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) proposes to NAER to increase electricity prices for its end users, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, by 1.6 times, from 2.84 to 4.53 lei per 1 kWh. The companies' requests will be considered by NAER, which will draft a decision in this regard. Premier Energy supplies electricity to consumers in the center and south of the country, while FEE Nord supplies electricity to consumers in the north of Moldova. The last time electricity tariffs for end consumers in Moldova were changed in March 2024.
