In December, the average amount of energy compensation will increase from 524 to 715 lei - Alexei Buzu

The head of the Labor and Social Protection Ministry announced this during a briefing on Friday, presenting information on the energy compensations that citizens will receive in December. According to him, citizens will receive higher energy compensations in December, as the gas tariff has increased. “The minimum compensation amount will increase from 300 lei in November to 500 lei in December, while the maximum amount will increase from 800 lei to 1,000 lei. In general, the average amount of compensation per 1 beneficiary increased from 524 lei in November to 715 lei in December,” the Minister said. Thus, 243,347 households will receive compensation from 500 to 600 lei for December, 8,610 households - from 600 to 700 lei, 278,450 - from 700 to 800 lei, 19,410 households - from 800 to 900 lei, and another 93,519 - from 900 to 1,000 lei. Alexei Buzu specified that this level of compensations will guarantee a lower average payment on bills than in the previous year. The government will compensate the amount equivalent to 150 cubic meters of gas consumption per month per household. Payments for December will start from January 10 next year. According to preliminary calculations, 480-500 million lei will be needed to pay compensations in December (334 million lei in November). It is worth mentioning that in December, almost 33.5 thousand new applicants for compensations were registered in the compansatii.gov.md system. // 27.12.2024 - InfoMarket.
