The amount of monetary compensation for November will be from 300 to 800 lei, - Alexei Buzu

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection announced this during a press conference on Friday, where he presented some aspects related to the government program Ajutor la control. He noted that the government will approve the amount of compensation for November next week, and it will be from 300 to 800 lei. This heating season, the government will compensate the equivalent of 150 cubic meters of consumption, for heating - up to 1.4 Gcal. He explained that the compensation will be set individually, depending on many factors, such as whether there are children, pensioners, or people with disabilities in the household. At the same time, he assured that no citizen who applied for compensation by registering on the compensatii.gov.md platform will receive compensation for November less than 300 lei. Herewith, Alexei Buzu reported that in December, when determining the amount of compensation, the increase in gas tariffs and, possibly, other energy resources will be taken into account. He assured that the government will mobilize all resources to provide adequate compensation to citizens. According to the data presented, 703 thousand households have so far applied for compensation for November and, according to the Ministry's calculations, the compensation system will cover almost 1.4 million residents of Moldova. About 40% of applicants indicated that they heat with solid fuel, 32% - with gas, 19% - with central heating, and for 4% of applicants, electricity is the main source of heating. It is worth noting that this week the Ministry presented a mechanism for calculating energy cost compensation for November 2024 – March 2025. According to the draft, when calculating monetary compensation, such factors as the location of the household, the income of all family members, the types of energy used, and the standard energy costs will be taken into account. According to preliminary information, 2 billion lei will be allocated for compensation this year. For comparison, in the previous heating season, when the amount of compensation was calculated based on the vulnerability category of households and paid in bills, 760 thousand households became beneficiaries, and the total amount of compensation (in bills) was 2.59 billion lei. // 29.11.2024 — InfoMarket
