This was announced by the acting director of Energocom, Victor Bînzari, commenting on the request of the Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, that Energocom sell it on the wholesale market the entire volume of gas purchased for May or offer these volumes through the exchange trading mechanism to all retail suppliers. Victor Bînzari said that since May Energocom no longer has any obligations to Moldovagaz and will sell gas not only to this company. He noted that in recent years the energy market in Moldova has changed radically, and an open exchange has appeared in the country, which can offer a very interesting opportunity for sellers to meet buyers. In particular, the Romanian Commodity Exchange in Moldova will hold the first auction on April 11, at which the CET Nord company intends to purchase certain volumes of gas for the period from May to September. Many companies will take part in this auction. “We encourage as many consumers and licensed suppliers as possible to participate in such exchange trading, so that we have competition and better prices,” said Victor Bînzari. He pointed out that since May Energocom no longer has any obligations to Moldovagaz, so he took part in the auction announced by the Chisinau Glass Factory.
