The BRM EAST ENERGY company launched a gas exchange in Chisinau for non-domestic consumers in Moldova.

In particular, the Romanian Commodity Exchange, through its company in Chisinau BRM EAST ENERGY, announced the successful launch of the first electronic OTC/RETAIL platform intended for the purchase of natural gas to non-domestic consumers in Moldova. As noted by the Ministry of Energy and BRM EAST ENERGY, this fact is an absolute novelty on the Moldovan market, being a common practice in the natural gas markets in the European Union. Practically, with the help of this tool, any non-residential consumer can ensure the purchase of natural gas through an electronic auction, in which all natural gas suppliers registered on the trading platform can participate. The first consumer to initiate a purchase and sale transaction on the platform managed by BRM in Moldova is CET-Nord, the auction is scheduled for April 11 (14.00). Transactions will be carried out transparently, honestly and efficiently, in accordance with the organization and operation of the OTC platform, while all transaction data will be publicly available, including the supply agreement and technical specifications. The transaction mechanism is simple and competitive in accordance with the Procedure for the organization and operation of the OTC market platform administered by BRM East Energy Company. As noted, the Romanian Commodity Exchange, through BRM East Energy, seeks to further participate in the process of liberalization of the natural gas market in Moldova and the European course of modernization of the Moldovan economy. At the same time, the promotion of fair and effective competition between natural gas suppliers in Moldova, offered by BRM platforms, will lead to increased transparency, competitive prices for end consumers, as well as the creation of a stable and sustainable environment in terms of diversification of natural gas procurement sources, thereby increasing the energy security of Moldova.
