Gasoline and diesel fuel continue to rise in price in Moldova amid the increase in quotations for oil products on international exchanges - ANRE.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency notes that in the process of setting maximum retail prices for the sale of basic oil products of standard type, it has observed a constant increase in international Platts quotations for gasoline and diesel fuel. According to Reuters, reduced oil supplies from Saudi Arabia and Russia have triggered price increases this month. In early July, Riyadh said it would extend a voluntary production cut of 1 million bpd through August, while Russia decided to cut exports by 500 thousand bpd. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Energy announced that it will cut oil exports by 2.1 million tons in the third quarter of 2023. As ANRE notes, these supply constraints are already being felt in inventories on foreign markets, putting additional pressure on prices. For the next three days, 22.07.2023-24.07.2023, ANRE set the following maximum retail prices for basic standard type petroleum products: COR 95 gasoline - 25.00 lei/liter (plus 11 bani); standard diesel - 21.04 lei/liter (plus 7 bani). ANRE indicates that, thus, the price of gasoline at Moldovan gas stations this weekend will be 0.6 lei per liter above the average of the current year, while the prices of diesel fuel will be about 0.2 lei per liter below the average price of the current year. ANRE emphasizes that it continues to closely follow the developments on international oil exchanges and assures consumers of the correctness of the daily calculation of prices set for fuel purchases. //21.07.2023 - InfoMarket.
