New tariffs for the heat energy supplied by Termoelectrica took effect on March 2.

The respective ANRE decree was published in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). According to the document, the tariff for heat supplied to consumers by Termoelectrica increased from 2854 to 3577 lei (excluding VAT) per gigacalorie (+25.3%). At the same time, the regulated price of electricity produced by Termoelectrica was reduced by 61 bani per kWh (-14%) to 393 bani per kWh (excluding VAT). The change in tariffs was caused by several factors: the need to apply the current regulated price for natural gas purchased by Termoelectrica, which is 37% higher than the average price included in the previous tariffs; reflection in the tariff/regulated price of fuel consumption costs in the form of fuel oil required for technological energy production purposes; changes in the production program parameters included in the current tariff structure as a result of the Production Program planned and coordinated by ANRE for 2023. Let us remind that, Termoelectrica tariffs were last changed at the beginning of October 2022. At that time, the heat tariff from Termoelectrica was increased from 2169 to 2854 lei (without VAT) per gigacalorie (+31.6%), and the price of electricity produced was increased from 335 to 454 bani per kWh (+33.5%).// 02.03.2023 - InfoMarket
