Standard diesel fuel has price dropped by 3.12 lei per liter, while the price of gasoline COR 95 has fallen by about 1 lei per liter over the last 4 weeks.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) reported this, noting that this week (February 20-26) was the fourth consecutive week of decline in retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in Moldova. The energy regulator said that despite pessimistic expectations regarding the impact of the EU embargo imposed as of February 5 on the purchase of fuel produced from Russian oil, this month was marked by a decrease in quotes of petroleum products. Particularly, over the last four weeks the standard diesel has fallen in price by 3.12 lei per liter, and gasoline COR 95 - by about 1 lei per liter. For the next three days (February 25-27), ANRE set the following maximum retail prices for main standard oil products: gasoline COR 95 - 24.72 lei/liter (-3 bani); standard diesel - 22.11 lei/liter (-6 bani). ANRE announced that it continues to follow closely the developments on international oil exchanges and assures consumers that the existing price formation mechanism is maximally transparent and ensures maximum fairness, both in the periods when the quotes increase and in the periods when they decrease. // 24.02.2023 - InfoMarket.
