Energocom signed a new contract with Nuclearelectrica of Romania for the purchase of electricity in January 2023 at a price of 450 RON (91 euros) per 1 MWh.

Energocom said in a statement that the contract provides for the purchase of 10 MWh of electricity at night and 30 MWh during the day. As a result, about 60% of the total electric power demand on the right bank of Nistru/Dniester River is expected to be provided by the Moldovan State District Power Plant (Moldavskaya GRES), and about 30% will be obtained from thermal power plants from renewable sources as well. Another 10% of the required volume will be purchased from suppliers in Romania to cover the deficit of electricity during peak hours as well. Energocom is authorized to buy electricity in January-March 2023. As InfoMarket reported earlier, Energocom will buy 251,000 to 263,000 MWh of power from Moldavskaya GRES in January 2023 at $73 per MWh. // 29.12.2022 – InfoMarket
