Gasoline and diesel fuel continue to fall in price in Moldova amid falling Platts - ANRE quotations.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported this, noting that during the last week (September 5-9) in setting the maximum retail prices for basic standard petroleum products ANRE continued to reduce prices, both for gasoline and diesel fuel. In particular, over the last period the price of gasoline decreased by 1.6 lei per liter, and diesel - by 0.62 lei per liter. According to the energy regulator, the decrease of fuel sale prices by ANRE is due to the decrease of Platts quotations, the indicator used as a basis for the current methodology for price formation. ANRE draws attention to the fact that, at the same time, the prices for diesel fuel remain higher than those for gasoline. This trend is explained by the growing demand for diesel fuel on the part of large consumers and logistical disruptions still faced by the oil industry on the European continent. For the next 3 days (August 10-12), the maximum retail prices for basic standard petroleum products are set by ANRE as follows: gasoline COR 95 - 24.24 lei per liter (-25 bani); standard diesel - 27.59 lei per liter (-27 bani). ANRE assures the final consumers of the correctness of the maximum selling prices for the main standard petroleum products and confirms that the price formation mechanism in force creates fair and transparent prices, which will accurately reflect the trends of both increasing and decreasing international quotations.// 09.09.2022 - InfoMarket
