
In the first half of 2021, Gazprom supplied 1 billion 698 million cubic meters of natural gas to Moldova (including Transnistria), which is 12.7% more than in the same period in 2020.
This follows from the financial statements of the Russian gas concern for the specified period. In January-June last year, 1 billion 506 million cubic meters of gas were supplied to Moldova. As InfoMarket agency reported earlier, Gazprom supplied Moldova (including Transnistria) with about 3 billion 047 million cubic meters of natural gas in 2020, which is 5.4% more than in 2019. According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Moldova (excluding Transnistria) in 2020, compared to 2019, increased the volume of purchases of natural gas in physical terms by 6.6% - up to 1 billion 127 million cubic meters. At the same time, in value terms, the volume of gas purchases in January-December 2020, relative to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 31.7% - to 2 billion 934.9 million lei, which was the result of a 35.9% decrease in the purchase price of "blue fuel" from 4064 lei (in lei equivalent, excluding VAT) for 1 thousand cubic meters in 2019 - to 2604 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters in 2020, JSC Moldovagaz is a joint Moldovan-Russian joint-stock company created by Gazprom, the government of Moldova and the Ministry of Industry of Transnistria. The largest shareholders of Moldovagaz are Gazprom (50% of shares), the Moldovan government (35.33%) and the Transnistrian administration (13.44%), which transferred its shares into the Russian gas holding’s trust management. // 02.09.2021 - InfoMarket
