Moldovan authorities approve a new Methodology for the calculation, approval and application of regulated prices for the supply of natural gas.

The Management Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency approved a new document regulating the norms concerning: approval, adjustment, updating and application of regulated prices for the supply of natural gas; the structure and method of determining the costs / expenses associated with the regulated gas supply service; approving and updating the main costs / expenses incurred by the supplier, including the purchase of natural gas, the purchase of transportation services and / or services for the distribution of natural gas. In addition, the Methodology provides a way to determine the regulated profitability of the supplier. Based on the new Methodology, the following regulated prices should be calculated: the price of natural gas at the points of entry into and out of gas transmission networks; price at points of exit from high pressure distribution networks, from medium pressure distribution networks and low pressure distribution networks.
