As InfoMarket was informed by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, at the same time, in value terms, the volume of gas purchases in January-June 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 3.4% - from 1 billion 838.8 million to 1 billion 900.9 million lei. The purchase price of gas in lei terms decreased over the year by 11.9% - from 3144 lei (excluding VAT) per 1,000 cubic meters in the first half of 2020 to 2771 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters in the first half of 2021. According to NAER, in January-June 2021, in comparison with the same period in 2020, the volume of gas supplies to the end consumers of the country in physical terms increased by 25% - to 715.6 million cubic meters, and in value terms - increased by 4.3% - up to 2 billion 841.2 million lei. At the same time, the tariff for consumers decreased by an average of 16.5% - from 4758 to 3970 lei per 1,000 cubic meters. According to NAER, in particular, the population in the first half of 2021, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, increased gas consumption in physical terms by 33.8% - from 211.5 million to 283 million cubic meters, and in monetary terms, the indicator increased by 18.8% - from 1 billion 105.4 million to 1 billion 313.7 million lei. Energy sector enterprises in January-June 2021 used 257.5 million cubic meters of gas in the amount of 929.3 million lei. Herewith, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, their gas consumption in the first half of 2021 in physical terms increased by 18.6%, and in monetary terms - decreased by 1.4%. Gas consumption by budgetary institutions increased by 43.7% in physical terms and by 9% in monetary terms. They used 33.5 million cubic meters of gas in January-June 2021 for 130.2 million lei.
