
Moldova ranks 3rd in terms of purchases of natural gas from Gazprom among the countries of the former USSR, 5th among the countries of Central Europe and 8th among the countries of Western Europe.
According to the latest quarterly report of Gazprom, in particular, in 2020 the largest volumes of natural gas from the Russian gas holding among the countries of the former USSR were purchased by Belarus and Kazakhstan - 18.76 billion cubic meters and 3.43 billion cubic meters, respectively. Moldova ranked 3rd with an indicator of 3 billion 047 million cubic meters of gas. Further, in terms of the volume of purchases of Russian gas in 2020, follow: Armenia - 2.21 billion cubic meters, Latvia -1.62 billion cubic meters, Lithuania - 0.95 billion cubic meters, Kyrgyzstan - 0.31 billion cubic meters, Estonia - 0.27 billion cubic meters and Georgia - 0.079 billion cubic meters. Ukraine during the specified period did not purchase gas from Gazprom.
