ANRE started developing a draft of a new Pricing Methodology for petroleum products.
As stated in the message of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), the methodology should be developed in accordance with the amendments introduced on March 9 to the Law on the Oil Products Market, which provide for a new mechanism for setting prices for basic oil products. As noted by ANRE, recommendations / proposals of stakeholders on the development of this project can be sent to the National Agency for Energy Regulation by 25 May. As InfoMarket reported earlier, the Moldovan parliament adopted amendments to the Law on Petroleum Products, providing for the establishment of new general rules for calculating and applying prices for basic petroleum products to ensure the most fair prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, taking into account fluctuations on international and regional exchanges (Platt`s). It is planned that prices will be calculated per 1 liter, separately for each type of product and imported batch. The suggested frequency of recalculation is 14 days. It was agreed that ANRE, within a month from the date of publication of the amendments, will develop and approve a new Pricing Methodology for petroleum products. // 13.05.2021 – InfoMarket
