
The Constitutional Court of Moldova will consider on July 23 the appeal of the CEC on the acknowledgement of the results of the snap parliamentary elections and the approval of the mandates of the elected MPs.
According to the Constitution, the Constitutional Court, upon the proposal of the Central Election Commission, approves a decision on the recognition of the mandates of the MPs or, in case of violation of the election legislation, on their non-recognition. After the results of the elections have been approved by the Constitutional Court, the President of Moldova convenes the new parliament for its first, constituent meeting. According to the results of the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, 3 political formations entered the parliament of the new convocation, while the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) will have 63 deputy mandates out of 101, the electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists - 32, and the SOR Party - 6 mandates. // 20.07.2021 – InfoMarket
