The Constitutional Court of Moldova declared unconstitutional the parliament decision dated April 23 that made possible the revocation of the mandate of the Constitutional Court judge Domnica Manole.
The Constitutional Court approved the corresponding decision on Tuesday after considering the appeal of the MPs Sergiu Litvinenco and Dinu Plingau. The Constitutional Court considers that the MPs, by their decision to revoke the mandate of Domnica Manole and to appoint Boris Lupascu as new judge of the Constitutional Court, went beyond the constitutional and legislative framework, carrying out an "attack" on the Constitutional Court thus trying to change the composition of the Court. Earlier, this parliament decision was criticized by the Western foreign partners of Moldova and representatives of international legal structures. // 27.04.2021 - InfoMarket
